5-25-13 alcohol related moped crash sends fdl man to the hospital

A Fond du Lac man was injured in an alcohol related moped accident in Waupun.  Shortly after 4pm Friday Rescue personnel were called to the scene at the intersection of N. Watertown St and E Main St. for a two vehicle accident with injuries.  Officers learned during the investigation that a moped struck a vehicle that was legally stopped in traffic.  The operator of the moped, a 58 year old Fond du Lac man, suffered head injuries during the crash.  Lifestar Ambulance service responded to the scene and transported the injured man to Waupun Memorial Hospital.  The Fond du Lac man was later cited for Operating After Revocation 4 offense and Operating While Intoxicated 2nd offense.
