5-24-13 lisko trial

The defense has rested in the Richard Lisko trial.  Lisko is charged in Fond du Lac County Circuit Court with reckless injury and false imprisonment.   The Campbellsport man is accused of ordering his pet dog  to attack an 18 year old man and stringing the teen upside down on his porch using a dog leash.   The defense has been trying to convince the jury that in the days leading up to the incident Lisko was the victim of burglaries and gun shots fired on his property and feared for his safety.  Waucousta Lutheran Grade School principal, David Wege, testified that Lisko showed him what appeared to be a bullet hole in a shed next to his house.  "He gave me the impression that someone was shooting at him,"  Wege said.   Wege told the jury he believes that Lisko "truly feared for his safety."   Lisko’s daughter Karrie Ann Reilly testified that her father was concerned about the incidents that were occurring on his property.  "It was freaking him out.  It was very unsettling,"  Reilly said. Reilly also said statements that her father was a member of the Outlaws Motorcycle gang are not true.  Concerning the Pit Bull...Reilly describes her father’s dog as a member of the family.  "H e was like my little brother...he was an awesome family pet."   The jury is expected to get the case Friday.
