It may not be a world
record…but event organizers and area residents can still be proud of the amount of food raised this holiday
weekend to stock food pantries in northeast Wisconsin. Fond du Lac High School junior Danny
Loomans says 130,311 pounds of food was collected…falling short of the
world record more than half million pounds of food collected two years ago. Loomans says the food collected will help feed the hungry in
five northeast Wisconsin counties. "In my mind it is a world record. We have done something pretty remarkable here in northeast Wisconsin that not many other places can boast about," Loomans told WFDL news Sunday afternoon. The event was held Saturday and Sunday at Fond du Lac High School.
