The Fond du Lac Chapter of the American Red Cross says local
volunteers are on stand-by to help in the aftermath of this week’s
killer tornado in Oklahoma. Director Steve Hansen says the local chapter is waiting for
the call from Oklahoma before sending
help. "We have a fairly large group of people that have been placed on stand-by should that call come," Hansen said. "As our great volunteers do they have stepped up and said let us know if you need us." Meanwhile Hansen says the best way for area residents to
help victims is to make a monetary donation through the Red Cross. Hansen says even a ten dollar donation can make a big
difference.
