Three Fond du lac police officers who gave their lives in
the line of duty were remembered at a special ceremony Wednesday. Local law enforcement gathered at the Hamilton Park police memorial yesterday to
honor the memory of officers Craig
Birkholz, Nick Klaske and William Prinslow. Prinslow was shot on duty and later died in November of
1898. Officer Klaske was chasing a burglary suspect when he was shot and killed
in October, 1961. And two years ago officer Craig Birkholz was shot and killed
in the line of duty while responding to a domestic disturbance call.
The ceremony can be heard at 9:10am Thursday on AM 1170's Between the Lines program.
