MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A mining company has reduced the number of test holes it plans to make for a proposed iron ore mine near Lake Superior. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says Gogebic Taconite withdrew its earlier exploration license application and submitted a replacement application today. The department will review the new application.
