8-15 One Dead One Injured In Dodge County Traffic Accident

One person is dead and another injured following a car versus truck accident Wednesday morning in Dodge County. The accident happened on Highway 16 between Fairwood Road and County Trunk J in the Town of Lowell. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Department says a car, driven by a 29 year old Hartford man, was westbound on Highway 16, crossed the center line, and side swiped the eastbound truck that was pulling an empty trailer. The Hartford man was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in his car, a 23 year old Stoughton woman, was Medflighted to a hospital with serious injuries. No one in the truck was injured. The crash remains under investigation.
