The Fond du Lac County Highway Commissioner says he’s
disappointed a proposed expansion of Highway 23 to four lanes between Fond du Lac
and Plymouth has been delayed again.
State DOT officials say the $140 million project has been pushed back to 2018. Highway Commissioner Tom Jahnke tells AM 1170 WFDL's Between the Lines program the project is
necessary for better traffic flow and safety.
He says making minor improvements such as additional passing lanes isn’t a long term solution. A public hearing on the project will be held next week at the UW Fond du Lac. The hearing starts at 6pm next Wednesday August 28th
at the UW Fond du lac Prairie Theatre.
