8-22-13 high winds topple semi on highway 41

At 8:21 PM on Wednesday August 21, 2013 a crash occurred on US 41 NB at Snell Rd in
Winnebago County near Oshkosh.   Assisting agencies included Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department, Gold Cross Ambulance, and Town of Oshkosh Fire Department. The crash involved 2 injuries. The details of the crash are as follows:  While traveling southbound on 41, a semi unit was hit with and subsequantly blown over by strong winds from a severe thunderstorm moving through the area. The semi came to rest on its side blocking the two right lanes of 41. The two occupants in the semi unit were checked out by EMS and later released without transport.  US 41 northbound was closed for approximately an hour and a half while tow trucks uprighted and removed the semi unit.
