8-29-13 armed standoff on hwy 41 over

An armed standoff on Highway 41 near Oshkosh ended when two robbery suspects apparently shot and killed themselves.  The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office says officers heard two gunshots

inside the car and found a man and woman dead.  Officers says the two were suspects in the robbery of a Neenah bar earlier in the day.  Officers pulled the suspect’s car over on Highway 41 near Oshkosh late Wednesday afternoon and tried several times to make contact with the people inside the vehicle.  Highway 41 was closed between Highways 76 and 45 and traffic was backed up for several miles during the standoff.
