8-23-13 federal health care insurance analysis

A new report shows that Fond du lac and Madison have the most insurers competing on the health marketplace for consumers’ business.  The report by Citizen Action of Wisconsin finds that Fond du lac and Madison residents have six plans to choose from through the new marketplaces or exchanges, created under the federal health care overhaul law.  The report says all Wisconsin citizens will have at least two insurance company options available.   The report looked at the coverage areas of the 14 insurance companies that notified state regulators they would be selling plans under the exchanges.
