The Fond du Lac County
Board has rejected a request to help fund the reprinting of a booklet designed to promote the tiny communities in Fond du lac County that are part of what’s known as the
Holyland and to promote the region’s rich history. The board
voted 15 to eight in favor of appropriating $2500 for a reprint of the book Breaking Bread
in the Holyland, two votes short of the two thirds majority needed for passage. County Board chairman Marty Farrell says the cost to reprint the 46 page book would
have been split between Fond du lac and Calumet counties and the
books would have been made available to the public for free.
