8-21-13 fdl woman gets jail in heroin case

A Fond du Lac woman who was arrested along with her husband on charges that they made and sold heroin will spend time behind bars.  Twenty six year old Rachael Zamzow  pleaded no contest to party to the crime of manufacture-delivery of heroin.  Two other counts of manufacture-delivery of heroin, one count of possession of heroin and  maintaining a drug trafficking place were dismissed and read into the record.  Fond du Lac judge Peter Grimm sentenced Zamzow to nine months in jail with no Huber priviledges for the first 30 days.    According to the criminal complaintl Zamzow sold heroin to undercover officers outside her former Fond du lac home and at a west side Fond du lac gas station.  Authorities say Zamzow’s husband Jeffrey joined his wife in the gas station drug sale.  Investigators say the pair bought the heroin in Milwaukee.  A plea and sentencing hearing for the husband is scheduled for August 30th.
