8-28-13 waupun police investigating whether downtown incident may have been an assault

Waupun police are continuing their investigation into an incident last week where a Waupun man was arrested for having sex with a woman on a street corner.   The man has been charged with lewd and lascivious behavior but deputy chief Scott Louden says investigators are trying to determine if the act was consensual.  "It was after bar close and both subjects were heavily intoxicated,"  Louden told WFDL news.  "We're still looking at the investigation to see if there was anything else that possibly could have been occurring, maybe even an assault."   Louden says the incident was reported by a citizen.
