8-13 Recycling Company Jobs

ELKHORN, Wis. (AP) — An electronic recycling company says it will build its first plant in Arkansas because delays in getting permits in Wisconsin are costing it money.
Dale Helgeson is chief executive officer of Elkhorn-based DP Electronic Recycling. He tells The Janesville Gazette his company has been trying for more than a year and a half to get permits to build in a Whitewater technology park. He says it's losing about $1 million in revenue for each month of delay.
Helgeson says it took about three months to get a permit in Arkansas, so it's building its first plant there.
The company plans to turn the cathode ray tubes found in older televisions and computer monitors into floor tiles.
