A Brandon man, age 62, has
been bound over for trial on drunken driving homicide charges in Barron County.
Gary Clark was in court this week for a preliminary hearing on homicide by
negligent operation and intoxicated use of a vehicle charges. Clark was bound
over for trial and not guilty pleas were entered.
Clark is accused of driving
drunk on Highway 8, in northern Wisconsin, the night of July 22nd and running
through a stop sign. His truck struck another vehicle driven by 64-year-old
Kathleen Smith of Rice Lake.
She was killed in the accident and her 17-year-old
grandson James Smith was injured. A plea hearing is scheduled for October 7th.
