8-6-13 walker-nsa surveillance debate

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker is trying to sidestep the highly public spat between national security hawks and libertarians among the 2016 Republican presidential contenders. Walker says today he sees merit in the arguments presented by both New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul regarding NSA surveillance, and that he believes in preserving national security while also protecting individual freedoms.
