Fond du Lac police say a no-serve policy for drunks may be
something Fond du Lac bar owners
should explore. The Janesville
Police Department is the latest Wisconsin law enforcement agency to ask local
taverns and liquor stores not to serve people who are habitually
intoxicated. Under Janesville’s policy an individual with three or more
alcohol-related incidents that result in a police call within a six month
period is placed on the no-serve list. Fond
dulac Assistant Police Chief Steve Klein says while Fond du Lac’s no-serve policy doesn’t go as far as Janesville, it is
similar. Klein says Fond du Lac police generally have a good
relationship with the Fond du Lac bar and liquor store owners.
