8-20-13 wisconsin farmers struggling with lack of heat and rain

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Wisconsin farmers are struggling with a lack of heat and rain. The U.S. Department of Agriculture said today that the state is in its fourth week of below average temperatures and has had little rain. The USDA's weekly report says on average soil moisture is 59 percent short. That's just a little bit better than where the state stood this time last year, when Wisconsin and the nation were struggling with drought.
