8-2 Ripon Cookie Days

Cookie Daze is a fun, mostly free festival for children of all ages. Join us for our tasty rendition of cookie sports and activities for kids of all ages! Kids can build their own rockets, take wagon rides, do a variety of arts & crafts, play Cookie BINGO and taste test delicious Bake & Taste cookies all at Ripon's Barlow Park.  The most anticipated activity are the Cookie Drops.  Hundreds of children wait beneath the Ripon Fire Department's tallest ladder truck, eager to have thousands of Cookies literally drop from the sky.  These excited cookie monsters scramble for individually wrapped goodies that are Ripon-baked and taste so good with wholesome milk.  The frenzy is repeated for four age categories (3-4; 5-6; 7-9 & 10-12).  There are also cookie hunts for the smaller children (ages 2 & under).  The festival began as a tribute to Ripon baking the World's Largest Cookie in 1994, which measured 907.9 square feet!  In 1996 Governor Tommy Thompson issued a proclamation recognizing Ripon, WI as CookieTown, USA.
