8-15 Crash On 7 Hills Road

On Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 531 am the Fond du Lac County 911 Center received a 911 call of a crash on Hwy 23 east of 7 Hills Rd in the town of Forest. Callers also reported a westbound Red Chevrolet Cavalier had been passing vehicles and may have caused the crash.

Fond du Lac Sheriff’s Deputies and Wisconsin State Troopers/Inspectors responded to the crash and enroute they observed the red Chevrolet Cavalier and subsequently stopped the vehicle on USH 151 near Wonser Rd.

Preliminary investigation indicates a west bound vehicle operated by a 51 year old female from Plymouth was actively passing a number of vehicles. An eastbound vehicle operated by a 53 year old Fond du Lac woman took evasive action, swerving to the right onto the shoulder to avoid the westbound vehicle. The eastbound driver then lost control of her vehicle, travelled across the highway and was struck by a westbound vehicle operated by a 41 year old St Cloud man.

The driver of the eastbound vehicle was not wearing a seatbelt, she was ejected from her vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the westbound vehicle, 41 year old Mark Feldner from St Cloud, sustained non life threatening injuries.

The driver of the westbound passing vehicle, a 51 year old female, had recently moved to Plymouth from Texas as was travelling to her place of employment in Beaver Dam. She is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on a charge of Homicide by Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
