A Fond du Lac County committee will discuss a recent rule
change allowing rifles to be
used for the gun deer hunting season at their meeting Tuesday evening. The DNR announced last month that riffles will be allowed
for gun deer seasons beginning November 1st. The rule change was supported by the public in votes at the spring hearings and approved by
the Natural Resources Board. Some municipalities have enacted rules prohibiting rifle use
for hunting. The Public Safety Committee meeting starts at 5pm Tuesday at the city-county government center.
