10-31-13 school safety forum-nfdl

The North Fond du Lac school superintendent says attendance at a recent school safety program may be an indication that the district is doing something right when it comes to school and student safety.  Superintendent Aaron Sadoff says in addition to school officials, only two members from the general public attended the District’s 2nd annual School Safety Overview forum.  "That just sends a big message to us that people feel we're on the right track,"  Sadoff told AM 1170 WFDL's Between the Lines program.  In the wake of the Newtown shooting and other acts of school violence around the country, Sadoff says he is confident the North Fond du Lac School District preparations and planning are focused in the correct  direction.  "We would really like to say hey, we're here doing our best to have policies, have procedures, work with county sheriffs, work with the PD, work with health and human services,  work with the county and everything we can to keep our kids safe."
