State DNR officials say the wolf harvest is ahead of last
year’s pace. DNR wildlife manager, Tom Hauge, tells AM 1170 WFDL's Between the Lines program at this point it
appears the harvest goal of 251 wolves will be met before the season is
scheduled to end at the end of February. "We're on a quicker pace this year definitely compared to 2012," Hauge said. "With this being our second year we really don't have a quote "normal" and we're kind of learning." So far three wolf hunt zones have closed.
