10-23-13 traffic fatalities down significantly locally and statewide

The number of traffic fatalities in Fond du lac County mirrors a statewide trend.  Traffic fatalities statewide are down significantly and that’s the case locally.  Through the first nine months of the year there have been five traffic fatalities on Fond du lac County roadways…compared to 22 all of last year.  Sheriff’s captain Rick Olig says traffic fatalities in the single digits shows that a year with zero traffic fatalities is attainable.  Statewide there were 396 traffic fatalities at the end of September, 80 fewer than last year.
