10-5-13 benefit breakfast for fdl soldier's family

A benefit is being held this weekend for the family of a Fond du lac soldier who died unexpectedly last month from a heart attack while swimming near his  Fort Bliss Texas army base.   Dan Manning with the group Salute the Troops says a breakfast benefit will be held this Sunday to remember and honor Rob VandeZande Jr.  VandeZande Jr joined the army after graduating from Fond du lac High School.  His wife Sarah is expecting their first child in November.  The benefit will be held from 8am to noon Sunday at the Fond du lac American Legion.  All of the proceeds will go to the VandeZande family.
