10-4-13 lawmaker quits

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A Republican lawmaker from southeastern Wisconsin will replace an embattled former legislator at the state Public Service Commission.  Rep. Jeff Stone of Greendale announced he will resign from the Legislature on Oct. 14.  The PSC says Stone will become the next water division administrator.  Assembly Majority Leader Scott Suder resigned in August to take a $94,000 job as the PSC's water division administrator. Shortly after he accepted the job news broke that he funneled a state hunting recruiting grant to a politically connected group.  The Wisconsin Paper Council announced Friday that Suder has accepted a position as vice president of government relations. He'll start on Oct. 7.
