10-2-13 fdl drug court grant approved

The Fond du Lac County Finance committee has approved a resolution to accept a grant for a new drug court and to hire a full time drug court coordinator.  The three year Bureau of Justice Assistance Adult Drug Court Discretionary grant totals $350,000.  Fond du Lac County Board chairman and finance committee member, Marty Farrell, supports the drug court.  Farrell says the drug court provides the option of treatment instead of jail for certain drug offenders.
