10-19-13 walleye weekend proceeds up significantly

Proceeds from Fond du lac’s Walleye Weekend are up significantly.  The Fond du lac Festivals Board of Directors says last summer’s  event generated morethan $225,000 in net proceeds, a 21 percent increase over 2012.  The non-profit concessionaires netted nearly $164,000 and Fond du Lac Festivals contributed another $62,000 to other non-profits, schools and service clubs assisting with Walleye Weekend.  Fond du lac Festivals Director Leanne Doyle, has also announced that Holiday Automotive has received the first Walleye Weekend Most Valuable Partner Award.   The award goes to an event partner for demonstrating community leadership for their exemplary service with Walleye Weekend.
