MILWAUKEE (AP) — Wisconsin Senator Tammy Baldwin has been appointed to the bipartisan committee assigned to come up with a long-term budget agreement. The Democrat will join Wisconsin Republicans Ron Johnson and Paul Ryan on the committee. Ryan is expected to co-chair the group. Baldwin says in a statement that she was proud to support the compromise that ended the 16-day partial government shutdown.
