5-3-13 fdl grocery store sold

The last of the small family-owned grocery stores in Fond du lac is being sold.  Appleton-based Schneider Markets is in the process of purchasing Piggly Wiggly grocery store on University Drive in Fond du lac.  In a letter to the city, new owner Daniel Schneider, says he plans to take ownership of the store May 12^th.   On Monday the Fond du lac Alcohol Licensing Committee approved an application for a new Class A liquor and Class A Malt Beverage license.
