5-3-13 beaver dam man convicted in horicon bank robbery case
A Beaver Dam man has been convicted of robbing a Horicon bank and leading authorities on a high speed vehicle
chase. On Wednesday, 23 year old Eric
King pleaded no contest to charges of armed robbery with threat of force and
second degree recklessly endangering safety in Dodge County Circuit Court. A charge of fleeing-eluding an officer was
dismissed and read into the record. A
pre-sentence investigation has been ordered.
In January, King entered the U.S. Bank in Horicon, presented a note to
the teller stating he had a gun, and that no one would be hurt if the teller
gave him money. King later led
authorities on a chase on Highway 151, where speeds reached 110 miles per
hour. The chase ended when he lost
control and was involved in a rollover crash.
A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for June 28th.
