10-9-13 new fire department rescue boats

The Fond du Lac Fire Department has added two new inflatable boats to its rescue fleet.  The city council approved  $20,000 in the last budget and Fire Chief Peter O’Leary says the department recently took delivery of  two mercury inflatable rescue boats…a 17 and a half foot boat with a 50 horsepower Merc outboard and 14 footer with a 30 horsepower Merc and tandem trailer.  O’Leary says crews will undergo hands on training in the coming weeks.
