10-2-13 fdl man charged in theft, burglary

A Fond du Lac man and his girlfriend are accused of stealing money and jewelry  from relatives and trashing a hotel room.  Twenty two year old Edward Uttendorfer and 21 year old Allison Weber are charged with burglary and theft and criminal damage to property.   According to a criminal complaint Uttendorfer stole his grandfather’s jewelry and sold it to jewelry stores for $1300.   An estimated $16,000 in cash was stolen from a lock box in another grandfather’s bedroom.  The pair is accused of damaging a room at Boarders Inn and Suites in Ripon with a smashed window, lamp on the floor, running hot water in the bathroom and tissues clogging heating vents.  Weber told police they checked into a motel so they could not be tracked by family members and had been smoking marijuana in the room.
