5-3-12 waupun swimming pool

The plan to build an aquatic center in Waupun at the Fond du Lac County Park continues to move forward.  City Administrator Kyle Clark says this week, the Waupun City Council met with Burbach Aquatics, Inc, and approved a pool size and site plan.  Clark says they also approved a timeline in which the aquatic facilty would be open in June of 2014.  Clark says the approximately four million dollar facility would be paid for by a property tax increase of 43 cents per thousand dollars of assessed value, TIF district funds, and a one million dollar contribution from Fond du Lac County.
