6-5-13 recall elections bill

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The state Legislature's committee on elections today heard pleas for changes in the Constitution that would limit the circumstances under which voters could seek to recall public officials. The chief sponsor of the proposal is Sen. Sheila Harsdorf, who was among four Republican state senators who survived a recall effort in 2011 after they supported Gov. Scott Walker's contentious bill stripping most public workers of their union rights.
