The Fond du lac police department hopes to purchase new
equipment with federal grant money.
The police department has been notified by the Bureau of Justice Assistance that it is eligible to
receive a little over $15,000 to purchase portable alarm systems, surveillance
video cameras, SWAT sniper rifles and miscellaneous SWAT operator
equipment. A public hearing on the grant was held at the Fond du lac
city council meeting Wednesday evening.
