6-27-13 sadoff shredder fire

On Wednesday June 26, 2013 at 4:47 p.m. Fond du Lac Fire Department was dispatched to Sadoff Iron and Metal 251 W. Arndt for a fire in a scrap metal shredder.  The fire involvded scrap materials within a structure as well as materials adjacent to the building.  Fire crews are still on scene (6:35 p.m.) extinguishing several smolerdeing hot spots.  Sadoff personnel are assisting fire crews with heavy equipment to help spread the scrap metal pile. There were no reported injuries.  No damage estimate available.  Fire crews will remain on scene for extended overhaul operations.
