One person was killed following a
three-vehicle accident in Winnebago County. The accident happened Tuesday evening
around 10:30 p.m. on Highway 41 Southbound, near Jacobson Road, in the Town of
Menasha. Winnebago County Sheriffs
Lt. Gordon Ledioyt says a slow moving vehicle from Minnesota was traveling in
the far right lane of traffic when it was rear-ended by another vehicle
traveling at highway speed. The
second vehicle careened off the highway and onto to the shoulder of the
road. Ledioyt says a motorcycle
then came upon the two vehicles, could not avoid them for unknown reasons, and
struck the Minnesota vehicle. The
operator of the motorcycle, 57-year-old Terrence Siems of Oshkosh, was taken to
Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah where he was pronounced dead. The investigation continues and Ledioyt
says alcohol does not appear to be a factor. No citations have been issued and no arrests
have been made.
