The Fond du Lac Windhover Center for the Arts has a new name
and new identity. The
Windhover Center has been renamed the Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts. The announcement was made Tuesday evening on Sheboygan Street outside the site of the new center. Thelma executive
director Kevin Miller says the center was named after the late Thelma
Sadoff, a woman with a "classic style and
affinity for her community." Miller said. Miller says the major arts center expansion
was made possible by the generosity of the Sadoff
Family Foundation. "Thelma is the brand, an honor to the Sadoff family commitment to our organization," Miller said. Gary Sadoff tells WFDL news his mother would probably be a little bit embarrassed by all the attention but very happy at the same time. Miller says the
grand opening of the newly expanded arts center is set for September 10-14th and has been dubbed Thelma week. He says
high-profile performers, art
exhibits and special gatherings will be a draw for tourists to visit Fond du
lac.:
