6-26-13 lomira man charged in heroin overdose death

One of two men charged in the drug overdose death of a Fond du lac man has made his initial court appearance.   Forty nine year old Jeffrey Abitz of Lomira appeared in Fond du lac County Circuit Court Tuesday on a charge of party to the crime of first degree reckless homicide.  Bail was set at

$5000 cash.    Meanwhile, reckless homicide charges have also been filed against 56 year old Reginald Dorsey of Milwaukee.   Dorsey is accused of supplying the heroin that led to the death of a Fond du lac man last July and investigators say Abitz drove the car.  District attorney Eric Toney says both men are charged under the Len Bias law.
