6-17-13 officer shot at wi sikh temple gets new job

OAK CREEK, Wis. (AP) — The officer seriously wounded while responding to the fatal shooting rampage at the Sikh temple last year is starting a new job.  Oak Creek police Lieutenant Brian Murphy was shot 12 times as the attacker left the temple. The gunman later fatally shot himself after being wounded by another officer.  Murphy retired officially on Wednesday and the department held a ceremony Friday.  Five Sikh officers from Canada's York Regional Police were part of the honor guard.  Murphy says he has a job with Armor Express, the company that made the bulletproof vest he was wearing that day. He's helping officers shot while wearing one of the vests.
