6-6-13 abortion ultrasound bill

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Democrats say a Republican-backed bill that would require a woman seeking an abortion in Wisconsin to have the option of seeing her unborn child via ultrasound is unnecessary. Under the legislation from GOP Senator Mary Lazich of New Berlin, physicians would have to arrange for an ultrasound before performing an abortion and provide a thorough description of the image and fetus' features.
