SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) — A boy who has pleaded no contest in the bludgeoning death of his great-grandmother has testified that his friend used a hammer to repeatedly strike the woman at her Sheboygan Falls home. Fourteen-year-old Nathan Paape is on trial in adult court in Sheboygan County for the death of 78-year-old Barbara Olson. Antonio Barbeau testified Wednesday that he had a hatchet and Paape had a hammer and that they hit Olson numerous times. Barbeau testified the two went to Olson's home after discussing ways to get some money. The boys were 13 at the time of Olson's death. They were charged in adult court with first-degree intentional homicide.
