A
proposal that would raise the speed limit on Wisconsin's interstates to 70
miles per hour may not pass in the state Senate. Republican Senate Majority
Leader Scott issued a statement on Friday that the bill does not currently have
enough support to reach the 17 votes needed in order to pass.
Fitzgerald said that
concerns about the bill will continue to be addressed behind the scenes, and it
may still come up for a vote in the next year.
