Winter is off to a snowy start in Wisconsin. The first official day of winter was Saturday…and the first major snowstorm of the season hit
early Sunday morning. The storm dumped 4-6 inches of snow in the Fond du lac area and up to eight inches of snow in portions of Dodge County. National
Weather Service meteorologist J.J. Wood says its going to be a white Christmas. "A weather system coming through on Christmas eve and then on Christmas day. Mostly on Christmas eve we should see another two to three inches," Wood told AM 1170 WFDL's Between the Lines program. "...and then some light snow maybe lingering into Christmas day. Meanwhile Fond du lac County Sheriff’s captain Rick Olig
says deputies responded to several mostly minor traffic accidents over the weekend. "There were 13 or 14 reportable crashes and a series of about 27 run-offs since Friday," Olig told WFDL news. "We didn't have any serious crashes which is the main concern we had."
