12-18-13 walker-race based mascots

MAPLE BLUFF, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker has given his strongest signal yet that he may sign a bill making it more difficult to force public schools to remove race-based mascots despite pressure for a veto from Wisconsin's tribal leaders and others. During a Tuesday interview with The Associated Press, Walker said it comes down to concerns about whether current law tramples on free speech rights.  The governor says he'll make his decision Thursday.
