MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The grievances have been aired, and many of them target Gov. Scott Walker and fellow Republicans. About 100 people showed up Monday to celebrate Festivus in the state Capitol, the made-up holiday made famous in an episode of the television show "Seinfeld." Celebrating Festivus involves airing of grievances, which participants did through a megaphone that echoed through the rotunda of the Capitol. Frequent protester Greg Gordon erected the plain aluminum table-top Festivus pole in the Capitol this month, sharing space with a nativity scene and the 25-foot Christmas tree. Monday's event also included singing of protest songs, including "Festivus is Here" and other holiday-themed tunes.
