12-18-13 couple arrested in daytime burglary spree

A couple has been arrested in connection with a number of daytime burglaries in Mayville, Columbus, Lomira, and Iron Ridge.  On Monday morning, a resident reported suspicious activity to the Columbus Police Department involving a male and a female.  The caller was able to give a description of the couple and their vehicle to authorities and soon after, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle matching the description.  A 32 year old Juneau man and a 21 year old Juneau woman were taken into custody on suspicion of burglary.  The two suspects are accused of breaking into homes during the day and stealing valuables while the homeowners were away.  The investigation is ongoing.
