12-21-13 juneau woman arrested in burglary spree

A Juneau woman has been charged in connection with a number of daytime burglaries in Mayville, Columbus, Lomira, and Iron Ridge.  21 year old Kassie Gehler is charged with burglary in Dodge County Circuit Court.  A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for December 26^th.  A 32 year old Juneau man is also expected to be charged for his role in the burglary spree.  On Monday morning, a resident reported suspicious activity to the Columbus Police Department involving a male and a female.  The caller was able to give a description of the couple and their vehicle to authorities and soon after, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle matching the description.  Gehler and the Juneau man were taken into custody.  The pair is accused of breaking into homes during the day and stealing valuables while the homeowners were away.
